My earliest memory in life is breaking pencils at the kitchen table because I couldn't draw Spidermans muscles... More
Since that day I have loved drawing and art. It wasn't until the age of 21 that I was really stung by the overwhelming urge to learn the art of tattooing. I received my first tattoo in detroit, and my second in an outer town of the city. After my second tattoo, I decided at that moment that I had to become a tattoo artist, no matter what. The very next day, I quit my job and sold any valuables to buy my first equipment. I waited anxiously for 2 weeks until I got my foot in the door of a tiny shop in Downriver Detroit where I spent my first 10 months there, and upon learning more and more about my craft, I climbed the ladder to more tattoo shops.
The smartest move I ever made was moving to Chicago to work with Ben Wahhh. I found myself surrounded by amazing artists such as Hannah Aitchison, Kim Saigh, Guy Aitchison, Tim Biedron and many many others. My next move led me to Los Angeles and ultimately to my friendship with Kat Von D. I don't know how I ended up in the finest seat in the finest shop ever, but I guess I did something right. High Voltage is my home and my tattooing is just getting better every day. I am surrounded by my friends and I drive to work everyday with a smile.
